CFES offers instructor training programs through independent qualified Educator
Distributors.
Each CFES Educator is a talented, educated and experienced leader in their field of work. All have advanced education, "on-floor" experience, a proven track record of excellent teaching skills and a sincere commitment to advancing the professionalism and consistency in fitness education, leadership training and program delivery.
CFES Educators receive a comprehensive teaching resource kit for each CFES course.
Educator Kits include: a detailed course
agenda, ample variety of teaching tools, techniques and supplies for every
aspect of the course from start to finish. The CFES Fitness Knowledge Course
and Group Exercise Instructor Course Educator Kits also have available PowerPoint

- a college/university student in related fitness programs; a community fitness supervisor within an organization; a freelance teacher; a high school or college teacher or university professor in related fields.
CFES Requirements for an Educator
In British Columbia: BCRPA Registered Trainer of Fitness Leaders (TFL)
Canadian Requirements: related degree, or advanced education related diploma,
certificate; experience in the field for two years or more; meets trainer qualifications
of provincial/regional fitness certification agencies; demonstrates strong leadership
and teaching abilities; have a love and enthusiasm for teaching and advancing
the fitness professional; has a commitment to educate, motivate and activate
individuals, groups; works with CFES as a team player responsible and accountable
to maintaining CFES Professional Business Code of Honour
Qualified Educators can utilize CFES programs:
- within curriculum or locally developed courses for credits or general interest
- as a program in continuing education departments of colleges and universities
- at community centres, private facilities, after school in education organizations
- within business corporations and rented facilities

How to Get Started With CFES

- determine educator qualification standing and how (if needed) to achieve this
- discuss the variety of ways to implement these programs to meet your needs
- review CFES resources for two weeks to one month (return or contact us to begin running programs)
- approve CFES Professional Code of Honour for review and use
For CFES HomeStudy Program Distribution
Colleges/High Schools and Fitness Organizations planning to promote the CFES
HomeStudy Program will:
- receive and advertise CFES program descriptions/logo in your course calendars and/or brochures (CFES can provide personalised brochures/posters in bulk or masters for printing ;
- discuss and agree upon program fees and percentage split with CFES;
- receive a set of programs on consignment to be used for walk in registrants;
- answer incoming inquiries; accept registration and fees; provide a receipt;
- email CFES the registrants name, address and phone number who wants the program mailed (CFES will mail out program --on the same day -- via Canada Post Express;
- CFES will invoice once per month at the agreed upon fee.
For Distribution of CFES Program Resources for Classroom Use
For Educators and Organizations offering CFES courses for the General Public
only:
- determine where you will hold your courses, who will do the registration;
- advertise, promote your courses six to eight weeks in advance;
- CFES can provide a personalized master copy of brochure/ poster for promotion
- order extra resources for last minute registrations -- you will only be invoiced
for the resources used (return unused/undamaged extras).
For All Educators/Organizations: Freelance, Teachers (High School, College, University)
Once you decide to start running one of our programs this is what will happen:
- You order your Educator Kit(s);
- Promote your program and register your students;
- Fax or email us our CFES order form with your quantity requisition of student manuals/booklets and course certificates. Please allow between 7 and 11 working days in advance of course starting date (determined by your location) for shipping;
- CFES will ship you your order via courier, bus line or Canada Post Express to arrive (ideally) at least one day beofre your course is to start
- You teach your course and at end your students submit required CFES completion forms to you and receive their certificates;
- You submit copies of all required forms to CFES office two weeks after course completion
- CFES invoices for resources plus GST/ delivery (payment is expected within 30 days of invoice date/manual order date);
- CFES encourages Educators to communicate regularly with CFES office; we are open and willing to make the changes to resources to meet your professional needs
- CFES will update resources regularly and send Educator Kit changes via PDF files.
