FAQs -- Frequently Asked Common Questions, Concerns and Answers
Q: "We would love to buy these manuals every year per student
per course, however where do we find the money for this?"
A: There are a variety of ways to fund these resources. Teachers
have had great success with doing one or more of the following.
1. Your school budget -- make a serious presentation to your principal/school
board regarding the current health crisis and the absolute necessity
of these livingskill programs.
2. Fund raising club -- some schools have a club to raise money
on an ongoing basis and they use the monies from this club to purchase
the manuals/year.
3. PAC -- Go to the PAC meeting or have a keen parent make the
presentation on your behalf. Brainstorm how PAC could raise the
funds to offer an active living program and resources for all the
grades interested.
4. 50/50 split between school and parents*
5. 100% from parent/student*
* For number 4 and 5 send a letter or email home; make a presentation
at a school assembly and invite the parents explaining the benefits
of this program for the whole family and truly how inexpensive and
valuable this information, leadership training and resources can
be for a lifetime, at a fee that is unbeatable.
CFES can provide a small number of scholarship manuals per school.
